Founding partner and director of Summa Sports, he contributes major experience combined with a professional career dedicated to the world of sport, with his maximum reference being his participation in the Organising Committee of the Barcelona 92 Olympic Games (Coob ’92) as director of sports logistics. Since then, he has developed his professional work as a planning and organisational consultant for major sporting events, highlighted by his rigour, methodology and broad, innovative vision.
Amongst other work carried out for the IOC, his highlights include a standard management plan, monitoring method for Olympic Games Organisation – applied for the first time during the Sydney Olympics – full-time consulting for the Salt Lake City 2002 Olympics, Athens 2004, Turin 2006 and Beijing 2008, observer plan for the Sydney Games and Salt Lake City 2002 and the elaboration of a general development plan for the Athens 2004 Olympic Games.
Operations director for the Barcelona 2003 World Swimming Championships. He has worked as an advisor for the Madrid 2012 Olympic Games Bid, managing the production of the questionnaire, dossier and bid presentation.
He also gives strategic and operational planning courses in different universities: Autonomous University of Barcelona, Pompeu Fabra, UCLM-RFEF, amongst others.
Responsible for defining the image and communication, identity and design project for the XXV Olympic Games Barcelona 1992, he directed the development and implementation project for the Olympic and Paralympic mascots: Cobi and Petra. He was also director of the cultural and recreational project and head of the Olympic Village Department.
Since 1966, he has been a permanent advisor and consultant in the company “Mediterránea de Moda” (María José Navarro), participating in the elaboration of numerous projects.
In 1997, he was responsible for defining the image, development and implementation project for the “City of Arts and Sciences” in Valencia and, until 2005, he was responsible for artistic coordination and strategic communication in the elaboration of Madrid’s bid dossier for the international olympic committee as a candidate city to host the xxx olympic games 2012. during 2007, he developed the artistic management and communication concept for barcelona city council in its “barcelona 2007 sports year” project and is currently responsible for the different tasks of strategic communication and corporate identity and coordinator of the cultural committee for madrid’s bid to host the olympic games in 2016. he also gives strategic marketing for design and fashion classes in valencia’s technological textile institute (aitex) and is a consultant for new fashion trends in various companies. since 1994, he has lived in valencia, where he heads his own consulting company, participating in different government and private sector projects.
Always connected to the world of sport, he has been part of Summa Sports since 2001.
In 2002, he joined the organising committee of the Barcelona 2003 World Swimming Championships as operations coordinator, developing website content at www.bcn03.org, writing the human resources plan, coordinating and writing the operations manuals, heading the main operations centre during the championships and coordinating and writing the final report after the championships had ended.
From 2002, he collaborated on the Madrid 2012 Olympic Bid as content coordinator for the Bid Dossier, technical manager during the ioc evaluation committee visit and content coordinator of the presentation to the IOC Assembly in july 2005.
Since 2006, he has been collaborating with the University of Ramon Llull as a professor in the “Organisation of Sporting Events” for the Blanquerna Faculty of Physical Activity and Sports Sciences (Cafe) and with the Autonomous University of Barcelona since 2003 as a lecturer for the Faculty of Tourism and Hotel Management.
Connected to the world of teaching and education, he currently heads a public school of secondary education and post-obligatory studies. He has broad knowledge in the world of federations and the field of human resources.
He formed part of the organisational structure of the Barcelona 92 Olympic Games as head of human resources of the department of general sports management and was assistant director of the Olympic Village for Judges and Referees.
As a consultant, he has participated in different sporting events: World Nature Games (Paraná, Brazil, 1997), Mediterranean Games (Almería 2005), World Championships in Swimming, Rowing and Olympic Shooting, international competitions of classic dressage and golf and tennis tournaments, etc.
He has been with Summa Sports since 1993, collaborating in the editing of bid dossiers, the creation of management and human resources plans and other tasks relating to external relations and protocol.
